I just limped off the water - I got POUNDED by huge swells in the shore break and liquid smoke completely leveled me several times... what a way to start '07! I was riding my 4.7, but i could have easily been on my 3.7. I should have seen the warning signs - while i was rigging my sail my board flipped over and scooted down the street... that's a classic sign from the wind gods to rig small!!
I just checked the ferry wind speed - it was blowing 40mph at Fauntleroy while i was out there!
I'm seriously doing the happy-dance. It was a great morning. Now, off to work!
