3 days without power

It was an interesting three days... in retrospect, I'm happy we didn't have power. I'd like to reenact the experience next year... perhaps we could have "Pioneer Days" one weekend every year... living w/o power really highlighted how addicted to electricity we are... and then, when the power finally came back, it seemed ridiculous to watch people piss it away by powering inflatable snowmen in their front yards...
Love the idea of Pioneer Days. We lost power again last night for just a few hours and I kept stupidly and unconsciously trying to turn things on. We don't realize what we've got until blah blah blah etcetera.
