Seattle boat show

Seattle boat show

Britta and Karsten tested every bed on every boat we toured. This one
was almost too nice to leave.

This is the 3rd year of just me and the kids at the boat show. Jana
enjoyed a few hours of quiet around the house, but of course she did
laundry the entire time... we haven't had much R&R lately.

My favorite boat was the Ranger 28. It's a mini tug that reminded me
of our old Aloha trailer (the trailer never made it back from Mexico).

We should follow the Dutch and install a pulley on the peak of our
house. Oh well, these guys managed, with a lot of grunting.

Am I risking my life? Trying the taco truck in white center. I'll
probably love it.

Made it to the ocean, finally

Made it to the ocean, finally
Originally uploaded by Andy Kleitsch

I've been traveling to SF almost every week for months, and I never
seem to have enough time to visit ocean. Today it's so nice and
sunny... I floored it as I passed Sand Hill Road... next stop the beach!

As I pulled into the beach parking lot there was a surfer in his
wetsuit hanging out in his VW van... Heaven!

Now I'm going to use Urban Spoon to find a fish shack.

Polar Bear Swim

The water was 45, the swimmers were pasty white - and the p.bear plunge was a splash!

I'm always surprised by how great I feel after the swim. Is it the cold water or the two cups of whisky coffee - or the combination?

We had some great coverage from the Highline Times and the B-Town Blog. Visit the links to watch videos!
